
In 1969, a Khmer woman marries a French Ex-drug dealer. Addicted to drugs from a young age, he becomes physically abusive to his new wife, playing music as he beats her to cover the sound of her cries. One day the wife finds the courage to defend herself, and in doing so, breaks her husbands prized record player. In a blind rage the husband slits his wifes throat with a shard of the broken disc that had been playing at the time, killing her immediately. 15 years later, the Frenchman's son brings his family to stay at the house in Cambodia. What lies in wait for them at their new house?
