Alone in the Ocean

Overview

On 13th December 1974, Slava Kurilov jumped off a Soviet cruise ship in the Philippine Sea. People will consider his journey to the shore — over three days of swimming in complete solitude in the middle of the ocean — a betrayal, a defection, an act of bravery, a protest...but for Kurilov that jump was one thing only — a leap into total freedom.
